Aletia Fern Baysinger

Wilson- Aletia Fern Baysinger, 72 of Tomball passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2012. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00pm Wednesday April 4, 2012 at the Rexroat Baptist Church north of Wilson. Interment will follow at Bomar Point Cemetery in Wilson. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.


Aletia was born March 30, 1939 to James Edward “Ed” Cantwell and Ellen Oweida (Tadlock) Cantwell south of Wilson, Oklahoma in a log cabin. She spent her earl school years in Black Jack and Springer Oklahoma. They moved to the Healdton and Ringling Oklahoma area in the 1950’s. She attended the Zaneis High School and graduated in 1957. Upon graduation she worked for Memorial Hospital in Ardmore, OK as a pastry chef. She met her husband Dale V. Baysinger in Ardmore and they were married on December 23, 1960.

They lived in Kansas and Oklahoma until being transferred to Houston, Texas in 1964. In 1975, they adopted their daughter Kristi Lynn Baysinger at 19 days of age; who was the absolute delight of their life.

Aletia was an accomplished homemaker. She remained active in the Rosehill United Methodist Church and Spring Creek County Historical Association until health issues demanded less of her dedication. She was an avid gardener and loved to cook. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her passion and zeal for life could be seen by all who met her. She is survived by her husband Dale V. Baysinger, daughter Kristi Lynn Morin, son in law Justin Morin, grandson Landon Cole Morin, of Houston, two brothers; James Cantwell of Wilburton, Oklahoma, and Dewayne Cantwell of Tomball, Texas; and one sister Deloris Hall of Baggs, Wyoming.

Pallbearers are Billy Baysinger, Jr., Johnny Corona, Larry Conway, Randy Hacker, Randy Bray, Randy Cantwell, James Allen Cantwell and Gene Jackson.

Honorary Bearers are Taylor Cantwell, Jeffery Cantwell, Gary Whitener, Daniel Whitener, and Joe Paul Beaver.

Family visitation will be from 7-9pm on Tuesday evening at the funeral home in Wilson.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Rosehill United Methodist Church or the Spring Creek County Historical Association care of Alexander Funeral Home 1302 7th St. Wilson, OK 73463.
