Annie Delores Briscoe

Mrs. Annie Delores (Kidwell) Briscoe was born August 3, 1927 in Fredrick, Ok to the late James Henry and Ellen Gertrude Hensley Kidwell. She departed this life Monday May 26, 2008 at Duncan, Ok at the age of 80 years, 9 months and 23 days.

Annie was raised in Frederick attending school there. She married the late Tom Briscoe August of 1943 at Walters, OK. They moved to Houston, where Tom found work as a welder and Annie was a devoted homemaker. In 1956 they became residents of Countyline, living there the rest of their lives except for a short period of time of when they lived in Medicine Park, TX. Her husband Tom preceded her in death on December 31, 1977. Annie worked in her later years as a cook at Brenda’s Grocery in Countyline. She will always be remembered for her excellent cooking and devout love for her family. She was a member of the Countyline Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, also preceding her in death is her Parents, Brother, Jimmy Kidwell in 1949, Sister, Iva Lee Wylie in 2007, and a grandson Troy Downey in 1982.

Survivors include 4 Daughters, Delores Jensen and husband Gene of Velma, Louranna Cox and husband Ray of Ratliff City, Billie Battles of Lone Grove, and Brenda Gordon and husband Jerry of Healdton. 1 Son Tommy Briscoe and wife Donna of Velma. Sister Audrey Briscoe of Countyline. 18 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Numerous other family and friends.
