Mrs. Baker was born Jan. 6, 1934, at Ringling to the late Mr. Willis Vernon Ward and Mrs. Fannie (Martin) Ward. She went to her heavenly home on Thursday March 28, 2024, at Wilson.

Betty was raised in Ringling where she attended school at Mountain Home and then later at Ringling. She married the late Mr. Gerald W. Baker on August 30, 1952, at Gainesville, TX. They made their home south of Ringling in Love County, as caretakers of Bonner Ranch, which is now known as Hoffman Ranch. They were blessed with 3 children and resided on the Ranch for 50 years until their retirement. Then they moved to the town of Ringling and have remained since.

Betty was always busy within her household. She cooked each meal for her family and for all the added cowboys on workdays. She enjoyed for all time having a garden and canned habitually and loved to quilt and was exceptionally capable handpicking pecans. Even though she held her membership at the Ringling Assembly of God Church, Betty would commonly attend the Asphaltum Assembly of God Church north of Ringling.

Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Gerald, March 18, 2000; grandson, Jared White; son in law, Kenney White; brothers, Forrest, Kenneth and Max Ward and sisters, Vyda Porter, Wanda Copeland, Octavia Wright and Dorothy Cullins.

Survivors include her three beloved children, Donna Kay White of Healdton, Deborah Benson and husband Barry of Ringling and James Baker and wife Denise of Ada; grandchildren, Stuart Baker and wife Vanna, Karra Norris and husband Chad and Kalley Jo Byers and husband Mark; great grandchildren, Gunner, Brynlee, Luke, Mason and Hillary Jo; sister, Otressa Bigelo of Antelope, CA; numerous nieces, nephews and other family.

Casket Bearers are Ronnie Southerland, Willis Southerland, Robert Southerland, Darrin Miller, Grey Shivers and Tony Lyle.

Honorary bearers are Jerry Eubanks and Terry Porter.

Family visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 pm at Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Ringling.
