Milo- Funeral Services for Beverly Darlene Roper, 72, of Graham are scheduled for 11:00 AM Saturday March 24, 2012 at the Milo Baptist Church in Milo with Rev. Mike Johnston officiating. Interment will follow at the Milo Cemetery in Milo. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Ratliff City.
Beverly was born August 10, 1939 at Earlsboro, OK to the late George Harold Dean and Mary Elizabeth (Parker) Dean. She departed this life Monday, March 19, 2012 in Graham.
Beverly was raised at Seminole moving to this area when she was a junior in High School attending her last two years at Rexroat. She soon became a wonderful Mother and devoted housewife raising her children. After her kids were grown she attended Cosmetology school and became a licensed beautician. She owned and operated her own Salon, “Beverly’s Magic Sheers”, of Healdton for 15 years retiring in 1994 due to her husband James Harris’ declining health. James preceded her in death in 1996. She later married Mr. Wayne Roper on September 14, 2001 at the Ratliff City First Baptist Church by Rev. Mike Johnston. They enjoyed living together at their home in Graham. Beverly always loved music, playing the piano and she cherished her family. She most of all loved the Lord Jesus with all her heart.
Preceding her in death are her Parents; and those accompanying her in the car accident, Daughter Rhonda Russell and Granddaughter Rose Verholtz.
Survivors include her Husband Wayne of the Home; Daughters, Debra Spigner and husband Kenneth of Tatums and Beverly Lessing and husband Frank of Elgin, OK; Sisters, Sheila William and husband Billy of Graham, Phyllis Heirston and husband Forrest of Oil City; Brother, Tony Dean and wife Lois of Ardmore; 9 Grandchildren; 7 Great Grandchildren; 2 Step Daughters, Teressa Replogle and husband Randy of Lafayette, IN, and Ellen “Missy” Kay and husband Jeff of Elwood, IN; Step Son, Allen Roper and wife Diana of Peru, IN; 7 Step Grandchildren, 6 Step Great Grandchildren, and tow very special sons, Tommy Fletcher and Travis McKinney. Numerous other family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Michael Heirston, Kenney Spigner, Tommy Fletcher, James Peters, Michael Davoult, and the Senior Men’s Sunday School Class of the Milo Baptist Church.
