Billie Jean Butler

Ringling – Funeral Services for Mrs. Billie Jean (McLellan) Butler, 82, of Ringling is scheduled for 10:00 am Thursday, July 26, 2012 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Ringling with Bro. Jimmy Morris and Bro. Johnnie Blankenship officiating. Interment will follow at Ringling Memorial Cemetery in Ringling. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home of Ringling.

Billie Jean was born April 11, 1930 at Claypool to the late Mr. Frank Black McLellan and Mrs. Clara Mae (Moore) McLellan. She departed this life Monday July 23, 2012 at Healdton.

Billie was raised in Claypool attending school there. She married Mr. Kenneth Raymond Butler on May 30, 1949 at Henryetta, TX. They made their home in Ringling where they enjoyed raising their children. Billie was a devoted homemaker who cooked wonderful pecan pies. She also ironed for the public and could iron some of the stiffest jeans in town. Billie was Baptized in the Church of Jesus Christ in Ringling in 1950. She enjoyed going to Church and doing what she could for others. She loved her family very much and adored her grandchildren.

Preceding her in death are her Parents; Son Derral Ray Butler, Daughter in law, Judy Lynn Butler and Granddaughter, Amanda Jean Butler all of whom died on March 23, 1984; Husband, Kenneth Raymond Butler – July 8, 2003; Son, Lee Roy Butler – July 23, 2010; 5 Brothers. Abner David, J.W., George, Roy and Gail.

Survivors include Daughter, Stephanie Lynn Butler of the home; Son, Billy Roy Butler and wife Deana of Amarillo, TX; Grandson, Roy Lee Butler; Sister, Mary Collins of Ringling and numerous nieces and nephews and other family.

Pallbearers are Dewayne McCarty, Clint Blakemore, Aaron Snow, Charlie Burkes, Dale Riley, Nick Ellis, C.J. Burkes and John Tolliver.

Honorary Bearers are Lafon Glenn, Johnny Higdon and Bobby Tolliver.

Family visitation will be from 6-7 pm Wednesday evening at the Alexander Funeral Home of Ringling.
