Billy Charles Williams

Graham – Graveside services for Mr. Billy Charles Williams, 71, of Graham are scheduled for 10:00 AM Wed. March 5, 2014 at the Graham Cemetery with Rev. Mike Johnston officiating and Rev. Paul Dean Martin providing the Eulogy. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.

Billy was born July 31, 1942 at Clemscott to the late Mr. Dennis Clifford Williams and Mrs. Ruth (Cannon) Williams. He departed this life Thursday February 27, 2014 at his home in Graham.

Billy was raised in the Clemscott and Graham area attending school at Fox. He graduated from Fox High School in 1960 and began working in the oilfields before being drafted into the United States Army on January 30, 1964. He served in Germany most of his service and received his honorable discharge on January 21, 1966. He and the former Ms. Sheila Dean were united in marriage on August 14, 1969 at Gainesville, TX. They resided at Graham most of their years while Billy worked in the Oilfield. Billy retired from Dresser Industries of Ratliff City as a Service Specialist. He enjoyed watching sports on television especially football and baseball and always rooted for the underdog.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Dennis and Mrs. Ruth (Cannon) Williams and a Granddaughter, Danielle Sellers- 2009.

Survivors include his wife Sheila of the home; Daughter, Becky Hair and Georgia Stansbury of Graham; Sisters, Jerrie Magruder and husband Peter of Ardmore and Linda Hamilton of Hendricks; Granddaughter, Mary Beth Sellers and Summer McManus and Bransen Kent of Ardmore; Great Granddaughter, Haley Owens; Numerous other family and friends.

Casket Bearers are Danny Briscoe, Danny Martin, Dale Tivis, Derrek Sellers, Rudy Stewart and Willie Lewis.

Honorary Bearers are Charlie Wright, Brian Davis and Pam Brewer.
