Billy Wayne Hooker

Wilson- Funeral Services for Mr. Billy Wayne Hooker of Muenster, Tx. and former resident of Leon, Oklahoma are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Saturday, May 10, 2014 at the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel of Wilson, Oklahoma with Rev. Ryan Eakins officiating. Interment will follow at the Leon Cemetery of Leon, Oklahoma. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson, Oklahoma.

Billy Wayne Hooker was born March 19, 1951 to Mr. Clyde Hooker and Mrs. Aline (Tom) Hooker at Leon, Oklahoma. He passed from this life Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Muenster, Texas.

Billy was raised at Leon attending school there and graduated from Turner High School in 1970. Billy attended welding school at Oklahoma City and began working at Falconhead. He began working at Uniroyal Tire Plant after leaving Falconhead and retired from Michelin just last year after 41 years of employment .Billy and the former Ms. Rita Blakely had been dating since 1995 and were united in marriage on March 11, 2014 at Muenster, Texas. He enjoyed trail riding, going to Dairy Queen, rodeos, sports (especially baseball) and loved his dog “Buddy” and spending time with his family and friends. Billy also enjoyed farming and ranching and attending the Rubottom Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death are his Parents, Clyde and Aline Hooker and his Brother, Albert Lee Hooker.

Billy is survived by his Wife, Rita Hooker of the home; Siblings, Shirley Ann Vickery and husband, Arlen of Hobart, OK. , David Hooker and wife, Linda of Oklahoma City, OK., Linda Mitchell and husband Ron of Mustang, OK. and Jaque Terrill and husband Tim of Scottsdale, AZ.; Nieces and Nephews, Lisa, James, Shawna, Ronnie, Kevin, Ryan, Pam and Doug; Numerous other family and friends.

Pallbearers are Don Musser, Jesus Luna, Michael White, Mike Parker, Sonny Hartman and Don Reed.

Honorary Bearers are Gates Billette, Alex Moreno, Jack Coker, Johnny Hartman, Larry Hartman, Chuck Hartman and Jackie Dale Miller.

Visitation will be Friday Evening from 6 – 8 P.M. at the Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson, Oklahoma.
