Ratliff City - Funeral Services for Mr. Bobby Ray Perkins, 85, of Ratliff City are scheduled for 10:00 AM Saturday, October 18, 2014 at the Ratliff City First Baptist Church with Rev. Ricky Williams officiating. Interment will follow at the Ratliff City Cemetery. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home of Ratliff City.


Bob was born May 3, 1929 at Poolville, OK to the late Mr. Samuel T. Perkins and Mrs. Mary Jane (Burton) Perkins. He departed this life Wednesday afternoon October 15, 2014 at Duncan, OK.


Bob attended school at Poolville and Fox. He graduated from Fox High School in 1949. He and the former Ms. Dolores Thomason were united in marriage on June 4, 1955 at Wichita Falls, TX. Soon after wards, Bob was drafted into United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He served honorably as a mechanic and received his discharge after two years of service. He and Delores initially resided at Elmore City, moving to Ratliff City in 1967.

Bob was employed in the Oilfield all of his working years as a contract pumper. He also farmed and ranched most of his life. He loved raising cattle on his farm and also enjoyed the many pheasant hunting trips to Kansas. Bob was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Elmore City and a member of the Ratliff City First Baptist Church.


Preceding Bob in death were his Parents,Mr. Samuel Perkins and Mrs. Mary Jane Perkins; Sister, Kathleen Pogue; Brothers, V.O. Perkins, Jack Perkins and Hershel Perkins; and Daughter in law, Sharon Perkins.


Survivors are his beloved wife Dolores of the home; 3 Sons, Mike Perkins and wife Rusty of Velma, Brent Perkins and wife Darla and Kent Perkins and wife Kathy all of Ratliff City; Sister, Evelyn Nelhs of Oklahoma City; 8 Grandchildren, Chris, Steven and wife Melissa, Jonah and her husband Jeff, Britnee and husband Levi, Brandon, Jeffery and wife Christy, Bryan and wife Whitney and Courtney; 13 Grandchildren, Kyla, Chelcea, Jake, Jorell, Connor, Caden, Hayley, Korbee, Hunter, Bryson, Lyla, Baylon and Remi; 1 Great Great Granddaughter on the way and numerous other family and friends.


Pallbearers are Chris Perkins, Steven Perkins, Jeff Que, Bryan Perkins, Brandon Perkins and Levi Armstrong.

Honorary Bearers are Jeffery Allen, Robert Thornton, Ritchie Wright, Mickey Pruitt and Derrel Tivis.


Family visitation will be from 6 to 8 Pm Friday evening at Alexander Funeral Home of Ratliff City.
