Carl Ellis Little

Wilson- Funeral Services for Mr. Carl Ellis Little,82, of Whitesboro, TX. and former resident of Wilson, Oklahoma are scheduled for 2:30 P.M. Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at the Hewitt Cemetery of Wilson, Oklahoma with Matt Chambers speaking. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.


Carl Ellis Little was born May 7, 1932 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Mr. Oscar Travis Little and Mrs. Dora Lee (Gamel) Little. He passed from this life Sunday, June 8, 2014 at his home in Whitesboro, Texas.


Carl was raised in several communities in Oklahoma, Texas and Illinois following oilfield work. He worked in the oilfield all over the world all of his working years. Carl retired from Reed Stevens Exploration in 1998. He married the former Ms. Bobbie Jean Arnold August 25, 1949 at Gainesville, Texas. They first met while Carl was living in Wilson. To this union came four children, Travis, Carla, Toni and Manthie. He had been a resident of Whitesboro, Texas since 1998. Carl was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Bobbie preceded Carl in Death April 20, 1999.


Also Preceding him in death are his Parents, Oscar and Dora Little; Daughter Manthie Newland January 10, 2011; Two infant Sisters.


He is survived by his Children Travis Arnold Little and wife, Brenda of Edmond, OK., Carla Jean Branscum and husband, Larry of Seminole, OK., Tony Alan Little and wife, Sharon K. of Copan, OK.; Sister, Lavon Chambers of New Castle, OK. ; Brother, Warren Little and wife, Anna Marie of Longmont, CO.; 9 Grandchildren; 22 Great Grandchildren; Numerous other Family and Friends.


The family would like to extend a special thanks to Martha Richroath for her kindfelt care and support for Carl during the last years.


Pallbearers are Justin Little, Chad Little, Rory Little, Gabe Little, Marshall Branscum and Aaron Morris.


Visitation will be prior to the service on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 from 10:00 A.M. – 1:30 P.M. .at the Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson, Oklahoma.
