Carlia Sue Armstrong

Wilson - Memorial Services for Mrs. Carlia Sue (Shepard) Armstrong, 65 of Ardmore are scheduled for 3:00 P.M., Saturday, February 18, 2023 at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel with Bobby Freeman officiating.  Visitation will be held before the service at 2:00 P.M.  Cremation services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson. 

Carlia was born December 28, 1957 in Trenton, MO to the late Mr. Donald Eugene Shepard and Mrs. Mildred (Berry) Shepard.  She departed from this life on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at her home in Ardmore.  

Carlia was raised in the earlier years of her life in Missouri moving to Oklahoma in 1970.  She married her junior high sweetheart, Rickey Armstrong on June 28, 1974 in Wilson, OK.  Together, they were blessed with 2 sons, Jimmy Don and Philip Rickey.  Carlia worked for Sonic on Grand in Ardmore for several years before she decided to be a devoted homemaker.  Later, she worked for Michelin for 18 years before she retired.  Carlia enjoyed camping, pearl parties, bingo, card games, watching and supporting Rickey on the drag strip and loving and spoiling her grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents. 

Carlia is survived by her loving husband, Rickey of the home; sons, Jimmy Armstrong of Anna, TX and Phil Armstrong and wife Lindsey of Lone Grove; sister, Debbie Plott of Wilson; grandchildren, Tinley Vance and Gage Armstrong; cousin, Karen Sparks and husband David of Moore; close friends, Marty and Barbara Jones of Lone Grove; and by a host of other family and friends.
