Carolyn Marian Pierce

Healdton - Mrs. Carolyn Marian Pierce, 100 of Healdton departed from this life on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at her home in Healdton surrounded by family.  She was born to the late Mr. Albert Emil Dahlke and Mrs. Louise Elizabeth (Schmidt) Dahlke in Hendricks, MN.  Cremation Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Healdton. 

Carolyn was raised in Hendricks, MN, attending and graduating from Hendricks High School in 1941 at the age of 19.  She moved to South Dakota and worked for a sanitarium before moving to California where she met and fell in love with Therman "Friday" Pierce.  They wed in 1946 and were blessed with 5 children, Sandy, Janet, Patricia, Pamela, and Gregory.  Friday preceded her in death on March 30, 2006.  Carolyn was a devoted homemaker and mother sewing all her children's clothing getting all her ideas from watching the American Band Stand.  She loved going camping every summer spending weeks at a time, but most of all she loved children even the neighborhood children. 

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Friday; granddaughter, Heather White; and 13 siblings. 

Carolyn is survived by her children, Sandy Holloway and husband Bobby, Janet Chatham and husband John, Patricia Wade and husband Denny, Pamela Smith, and Gregory Pierce; 13 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; and by a host of other family and friends.
