Cecil Wayne Williams

Ringling – Home Going services for Mr. Cecil Wayne Williams, 83, of Ringling are scheduled for 2:00 PM Wed. Dec. 21, 2022 at Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Ringling with Ernest Marshall and Lafon Glenn officiating . Interment will follow at Crow Cemetery south of Orr.

Cecil was born Oct. 13, 1939 at Orr to the late Mr. Earl Williams and Mrs. Sybil Truecilla (Patty) Williams. He left this world peacefully early Monday morning on Dec. 19, 2022 at his home in Ringling.

Cecil was raised at Orr as one of three children. He married the former Ms. Peggy Joyce Romines on Dec. 6, 1957 at Ardmore. They made their home at Brushy Mound. Cecil worked for Love County District II, for many years, retiring as the road foreman. He loved spending time at the lake fishing and attending activities with his grandchildren, especially Will’s sporting events.

Preceding him in death are his parents; wife Peggy, Nov. 22, 2008 and a brother Don Williams.

Survivors include his spouse, Sharon Mercer of Ringling; daughter, Karen Inselman and husband Billy of Wilson; son, Terry Wayne Williams and wife Mary of Blanchard; sister, Doris Barber of Newcastle; grandchildren, Kandis Jackson and husband Brent, Willy Inselman and wife Rebecca, Tyler Inselman, Derek Williams and fiancée Dana Jo, Kylie Williams and fiancé Jessie, Tanner Williams and wife Michaela and Andrew Barnett; 10 great grandchildren; numerous other family and friends.

Casket bearers are Bill Dewbre, Jamie Mercer, Kelly Perkins, Johnny Dewbre, Jimmie Dewbre and Scott Skinner.

Honorary bearers are Allen Wade, Sherle Lockwood, Ernest Marshall Bob Earl Stewart and  Lyndal Van Buskirk.

Family visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday evening at Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Ringling.
