Fox – Funeral Services for Mr. Charlie Lewis Wright, 85 of Ratliff City are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Fox Baptist Church with Rev. Carl Taylor officiating. Interment will follow to Ratliff City Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Ratliff City.

Charlie was born October 28, 1935 in Keifer, OK to the late Mr. Harley Burris Wright and Mrs. Beatrice T. (Wise) Wright. He departed from this life on Monday, August 23, 2021 at his home in Ratliff City.
Charlie traveled a lot in his younger years- Kansas, Ok, Illinois, New Mexico, Keifer, OK and finally to Fox Oklahoma where he graduated in 1954. He married the former Ms. Joy Violia Skelton in Fox, OK on May 25, 1957. Charlie worked at various oilfield companies and retired with Guiberson Oil Tool in 1995 after 27 years. He holds patents on 2 oilfield field phases.

Charlie was very family oriented, especially with his great grandchildren. He was always talking about them and each had their own unique talents, Twister – baseball and basketball, Kaylee- art and scholastics areas, Kelsey – T-Ball and scholastics areas, Caden – Monster Cars, Trains and helping in Mom and Dad’s garden, Noah – helping in the garden and keeping up with Caden, Ryder – being a happy baby. Charlie was known for his gift of gab. He was involved in many activities including a basketball referee, Volunteer Firefighter for Ratliff City, Scout Master in Boy Scouts, Deacon of Ratliff City Baptist Church where he was baptized in 1981, and Deacon of Fox Baptist Church. He loved camping, fishing, antique car shows and woodworking.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Charlie is survived by his loving wife, Joy of the home; son, Charles Lee “Chuck” Wright and wife Gaylene of Wagoner; daughter, Chonda Lynn Williams and husband Roger of Velma; grandchildren, Cina Sellers, Kristi Wilson, Kyle Williams, and Curtis Wright; great grandchildren, Twister Royce, Kaylee Joy, Kelsey Dawn, Caden Charles, Noah Elliot, Ryder Anthony; and by a host of other family and friends.

Pallbearers Gary Sellers, Kyle Williams, Buddy Wilson, Curtis Wright, Twister Wilson, Kenneth Griffin. Honorary bearers will be Don Henderson, Bryan Davis, Lonnie Carter, and Bob McCartney.

In Lieu of Flowers, donations may be made to Cross Timbers Hospice 207 C St NW, Ardmore, OK 73401.
