Milo- Funeral Services for Mrs. Clyde Frances (Harris) Stewart, 88, are scheduled for 10:00 am Saturday June 9, 2012 at the Milo Baptist Church in Milo with Rev. Mike Johnston officiating. Interment will follow at the Gethsemane Cemetery in Caddo, OK. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.
Clyde was born October 27, 923 at Sasakwa, OK to the late Mr. Gather Wright Harris and Mrs. Myrtle (Kersac) Harris. She departed this life Wed. June 6, 2012 at a nursing home facility in Ardmore.
Clyde was raised around Sasakwa and Caddo, before marrying Henry Floyd Stewart March 22, 1941 at Wewoka. They made their home at Matoy and lived there and at Bokchita before moving to Grandfield. They became residents of Graham area in the early 70’s. Clyde was always a very devoted homemaker and wonderful mother who loved to make quilts. She also enjoyed fishing and gardening. She was a member of the Milo Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death are her Parents; Husband, Floyd – July 1, 1990; Son, Rickey Stewart- July 1 1996; her twin Bother and 10 other siblings.
Survivors include her Children; Opal Reid and husband Don of Guymon; Ann Christian and husband Jerry of Ardmore; Carl Stewart and wife Linda of Milo; Myrtle Morse and husband David of Ratliff City and Floy Clydean Lusk and husband Louis of Sulphur; 21 Grandchildren, 25 Great Grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Pallbearers are all Grandsons of Clyde’s.
Honorary Bearers are the Men of the Milo Baptist Church.
