Curtis Ray Jackson

July 5, 1944 — June 6, 2012

Ringling – Funeral Services for Mr. Curtis Ray Jackson, 67, formerly of Leon, are scheduled for 2:00 PM Monday, June 11th, 2012 at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel of Ringling with Bro. Paul Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at Dixie Cemetery north of Ringling. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Ringling.

Ray was born July 5, 1944 at Pike, OK to the late Mr. Loyd William Jackson and Mrs. Velma Ruth (Chisum) Jackson. He departed this life Wed. June 6, 2012 at a hospital in Oklahoma City.

Ray was raised at Leon graduating high school from there in the early 60’s. He was drafted into the Unites States Army, July 19, 1966 and served honorably as a cook in Germany until his discharge on June 29, 1968 at Ft. Dix, NJ. He then returned to Marietta where he continued his employment with the Cookie Factory. Ray worked most his years in the Oilfield and most recently was residing in Enid. He and always considered Duncan to be his home. He enjoyed fishing, camping and loved to attend Rodeo’s.

Ray was first married to the late Flora Mae Skeen and she preceded him in death. He later married the former Kristie Pulliam on February 19, 199 at Sherman, TX.

In addition to his wife Flora Mae, also preceding him in death are his Parents, and a brother R.A. Jackson.

Survivors include his wife Kristie of the home in Enid; Daughter, Trella Armstrong of Canadian, TX; Stepchildren, Brandi Trujillo, Jessica Skeen, Bridgette Seat and Andrew “Bubba” Skeen; 18 Grandchildren; Siblings, Fred Bearden of Whitesboro, TX, Raymond Jackson and wife Carol of Elk City; Brenda Taylor and husband Charles of Whitesboro, TX and Debra Carver and husband Bryan of Springtown, TX; Numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and cousins.

Pallbearers are Dean Jackson, Wayne Jackson, Gary Jackson, Jody Jackson, Chris Palmer, Vance Palmer and Ricky Turner.

Honorary Bearers are the employees of Sanquip.

Family visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm Sunday evening at Alexander Funeral Home of Ringling.
