Dale Coley

Wilson -Services for Mr. Curtis Dale Coley, 75, of Oklahoma City, formerly of Healdton are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday, May 19, 2023 at Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Wilson with Rev. Laveda Idleman officiating. Interment will follow at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Ardmore.

Dale was born Jan. 30, 1948 at Healdton to Mr. Pete W. Coley and Mrs. Muriel N. (Elder) Coley. He departed this life on Sunday, May 14, 2023 at Oklahoma City.

Dale was raised at Healdton where he attended and graduated High School in 1966. He and the former, Ms. Patricia Estell Allen were married August 26, 1967 at Healdton. He attended college initially at Murray State where he received his Associate degree. In the early 70’s he and Patricia moved to Oklahoma City, where he added to his education, obtaining his Bachelor Degree in business from the University of Central Oklahoma.

Residing in Oklahoma city, Dale worked for several food companies as the purchasing agent buying food inventory for multiple state facilities and retailers. Most recently he was employed as the greeter of Crest Grocery of Oklahoma City. Dale constantly loved to interact with others and never met a stranger wherever he went.

Dale was a family man, making sure he provided for every need of his family throughout the years. He was a great father and mentor, who loved to coach every sport his children were active in. He loved traveling and taking cruises with his family. He was an passionate outdoorsman loving to hunt when he was able and for all time anticipating his next fishing trip.

Preceding him in death are his parents; sister, Janice Diane Michaelosky and a brother, Donald Clyde Coley.

Survivors include his loving wife Patricia of the home; daughter, Stacey Lynn Idleman and husband Jason of Oklahoma City; son, Kevin Dale Coley and wife Debbie of Wilson; grandchildren, Cheyney Harp, Jr., Tristan Faith Idleman and Rusty Hester; nieces, Brandy Matthews, Kristy Whittenberg, Kim Hurst and Sheila Hurst; sister in law, Thelda Allen of Yukon; numerous other family and a host of friends.

Casket bearers will be Steve Coley, Allen Coley, Troy Knight, Laine Matthews, Tolbert Corley and Kolby Robinson.

Family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm Thursday evening at Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Wilson.
