Ringling-Graveside Services For Mr. Dale Edward Rich, 71, is scheduled for Saturday 10:00 A.M. August 30, 2008 at Allen Family Cemetery in Ringling with Longtime Friend Alvie “Jr.” Ogle officiating. Alexander Funeral Home in Ringling is in charge of Arrangements.

One of the Last “Old Time Cowboys” Dale was born June 14, 1937 at Wilson Okla. to the late Ollie Lee Rich and Lillie Kemp Rich. Dale saddled up and rode off to be with His Lord Thursday August 28, 2008 at his home at the age of 71 Years 2 months and 14 days.

A lifelong resident of Ringling, Dale graduated from Claypool School in 1955. He and the former Donna Sue Allen were married October 20, 1958 at Ringling. Dale had been employed with many local ranches and a self-employed welder for many years. His passion was spent raising Hereford show calves for his children, grand-children and many local youths. When the County and State Fair show times rolled around you knew where to find Dale. He was at the show barn with a big chew of tobacco and a set of clippers at hand. Dale loved to sing Southern Gospel Music. Dale was a member of the American Hereford Association and the Ringling Community Benefit Team Roping.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ollie and Lillie Rich, a brother Max “Bo” Rich and a son Danny Lee Rich- 1979.

Survivors include his wife Donna Sue Rich of the home, Daughter Sherry D. Mashore and Kenny Mashore, Grand Children Kendra Brooks and husband Daniel of Wilson, Rusty Mashore and wife Amanda of Ringling, Great Grand Children Racelyn Gemmell, Danielle Brooks and Tucker Dale Mashore. Two Brothers , T.D.”Dusty” Rich and wife Ginger of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Jack Rich and wife Ann of Ringling. Many nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.

Pallbearers will be Rusty Mashore, Kenny Mashore, Larry Stewart, Charley Lockwood, Sherle Lockwood and Steve Hughes. Honorary Bearers will be Alvie”Jr” Ogle, Jerry Dillard, Don Allen, Ronnie Harbour and Raymond Brown.

In lieu of flowers the Family request donations may be made to the 2009 Ringling Jr. Livestock Sale Fund P.O. Box 1010 Ringling, OK 73456 or Good Samaritan Hospice P.O. Box 297, Wilson, OK 73463.
