Dale Ray Gaither

Wilson - Funeral Services for Mr. Dale Ray Gaither, 81, longtime resident of Wilson are scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, July 3, 2021 at Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Wilson with Rev. Glynn Baker officiating. Interment will follow at Hewitt Cemetery of Wilson.

Dale Ray was born on October 7, 1939 at Wilson to the late Mr. Dale William Gaither and Mrs. Faye Nell (Jackson) Gaither. He departed this life on Wed. June 30, 2021 at a healthcare facility in Denison, TX.

Dale Ray was raised at Wilson as 1 of 6 children. They owned and operated a dairy and a meat market, where Dale Ray assisted his family in the day to day operations. As a young man, he began working for Nickles Drilling, roughnecking and later went to work for Mapco. Lastly he was employed for Triple D Drilling as the production superintendent, retiring in 2009.

Dale Ray married the former Jo Beth Foraker on Nov. 11, 1971 at Gainesville, TX. They have resided in Wilson where Dale was always well known and respected throughout the community. He served on the Wilson School Board from 1978 to 1979 and was a friend to many.

Preceding him in death are his parents; son, Rodney Ray Gaither, Jan. 16, 2007; brother, Troy Gaither; and his precious fur babies, Ginger, Rocky and Little Thing.

Survivors include his loving wife, Jo Beth (Jarrett) Gaither of the home; children, Bradley Gaither, and wife Angela of Gene Autry, Brad Gaither and wife Shelly of Dickson, Donnie Foraker and wife Freanna of Velma and Julie Jackson and spouse Jim Darling of Healdton; brothers, Larry Gaither and wife Connie of Ardmore and Gary Gaither of Wilson;sisters, Marilyn Brogdon and husband Red of Midland, TX and Joy Freeman of Sherman- Denison, TX; sister in law, Judy Gaither of Ardmore; his beloved pets, Mrs. Kitty and Mia of the home; 15 grandchildren, Christopher, Shawn and Jamie Gaither, Josh Foraker and wife Mika, Sasha Thornborough and husband Jonathan, Danielle Wade, Kendra Gaither, Samantha Gaither, Tommy Houser, Tia Houser, Tonya Dorries and husband Shayne, James Fore and wife Kisha, Krysti Norton, Rodney Gaither and wife Jamie, and Randy Gaither and wife Brandi; 24 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson and 1 more on the way; numerous nieces and nephews and other family.

Casket bearers Terrell D. Tucker, Shayne Dorries, Josh Foraker, Chris Gaither, Kirk Gaither and Jerrod Gaither.

Honorary bearers are Dennis "Big N" Duke, Marty Jones and Jacob Gaither.
