Darla Ann (Easterwood) York

Darla Ann (Easterwood) York of McAlester departed this life on August 26, 2023 in Oklahoma City at the age of 53 years, 6 months, and 4 days. Cremation services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral of Wilson.

Darla was born to the late Mr. David Easterwood and Ms. Ethel Moss in Lubbock, Texas.

She grew up in Leveland, TX and graduated high school in 1988 from Leveland High School. Darla had a green thumb and could grow anything. She loved plants and watching them grow in her green house. She enjoyed knitting and was an animal lover. Darla married Ronnie York on January 10, 2003. She always made sure him and Dermdrick were always taken care. Darla loved her family and taken care of her sisters, nieces and nephews. She was a true caretaker and worked as a Certified Nurses Aide for many years.

Darla is preceded in death by her father, David Easterwood; brothers, Jamie and Danny Easterwood; and father-in-law, Raymond York.

She is survived by her husband, Ronnie York of the home; son, Dermdrick Easterwood of McAlester; mother, Ethel moss of Lone Grove; four sisters, Kayla, Kim, Karen, and Melissa; grandchildren, Jason, Caden, Catelynn, and Aurora; mother-in-law, Ruby York of Bastrop, TX; step-daughters, Somer Sanford of Jacksonville, FL; and Alex York of Ft. Meyers, Fl; many other relatives and a host of friends.
