David Gene Rapier

Ringling – Funeral Services for Mr. David Gene Rapier, 57, of Ringling are scheduled for 2:00 PM Monday February 9, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Ringling with Rev. Mike Williams officiating. Interment will follow at the Ringling Memorial Cemetery of Ringling. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home of Ringling.

David was born on August 16, 1957 at Ringling to the late Mr. W.S. Rapier, Jr. and Mrs. Eunice L. (Gardner) Rapier. He departed this life peacefully Friday morning, on February 6, 2015 at his home in Ringling.

David was a resident of Ringling most of his life. He was employed at Uniroyal/ Michelin Tire plant of Ardmore for several years. At Michelin David worked as a computer technician retiring in 2014.

He and the former Jeannie Gibson were united in marriage on July 22, 1983 at Ardmore. They made their home in Ringling. David enjoyed working with computers and fishing, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his two granddaughters.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Mr. W.S. and Mrs. Eunice Rapier and a sister in law – Karen Rapier.

Survivors include his wife Jeannie Rapier of the home; daughter, Julie Claxton and husband Sam of Ringling; son, Jason Rapier of Ardmore; brothers, Danny Rapier and wife Linda, Jim Rapier and wife Debbie and Steven Rapier, all of Ringling; mother in law, Neta Gibson of Ardmore; 2 granddaughters, Savannah Claxton and Kendalyn Claxton; numerous nieces and nephews and other family.

Pallbearers are Michael Rapier, Tracey Rapier, Casey Rapier, Sam Claxton, Charley Claxton and Kevin Inselman.

Honorary Bearers are Danny Rapier, Jim Rapier, Steven Rapier, Claude Hamilton and Dee Harbeson.

Family visitation will be held from 2pm to 4pm on Sunday afternoon at Alexander Funeral Home of Ringling.
