Debra Lynn Debord

Debra was born April 6, 1953 at Comanche, OK to the late Mr. Wesley Wiley Hester and Mrs. Betty Geraldine (Penn) Hester. She departed this life Wednesday morning July 18, 2012 at Ardmore.

Debra was raised in Wilson attending and graduating from Wilson in 1971. She married Mr. Tommy Wayne DeBord, Sr. on June 20, 1972 at Ardmore. She attended nursing school and soon received her LPN license and was employed at the Ardmore Veterans Center as a Nurse for 29 years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and working crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed singing karaoke.

Preceding her in death are her Parents; Brother, Wiley Jones “Sonny” Hester, Sr.; 2 Sisters, Carmaletta Grinstead and Wilma Joy Young.

Survivors include her husband, Tommy Wayne DeBord, Sr. of the Home; Daughter, Keri Honea and husband Jason of Wilson; Sons, Tommy “TJ” Wayne DeBord, Jr. and wife Michelle of Corpus Christi, TX and Billy DeBord and wife Laura of Healdton; Sisters, Ruby Whitson and husband Cletis, Sheila Whitson and husband Ronnie, and Mary Morrison and husband Jim, all of Ozark, AR; Grandchildren, Chloe, Jasmine, Alex, Hope, Matt and Gracie; Great Grandchildren, Kyleigh, Maycie and Austin. Numerous other family and friends.

Honorary Bearers are all the residents, co-workers, nurses and staff of the Ardmore Veterans Center whom she loved all very dearly.

Family visitation will be from 6-8 pm Thursday evening at the funeral home in Wilson.
