Delores Ann Jensen

Velma - Graveside Services for Delores Ann (Briscoe) Jensen, 70, of Velma are scheduled for 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at the Alma Cemetery with Rev. Sid Bazzrea officiating. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Ratliff City.

Delores was born to Tom & Annie (Kidwell) Briscoe on July 16, 1944 in Fredrick, OK. She passed away peacefully Saturday morning, March 14, 2015 in Duncan.

Delores attended school at Fredrick, Velma-Alma, Fox and Houston, TX. On April 23, 1962 in Wichita Falls, TX she married Gene Jensen. During this time she worked at Corene's Store in Ratliff City and Brenda's store at Countyline. Delores also worked as an aide at nursing homes in Healdton and Duncan. She loved her family especially her grandkids, great-grandkids, her cats and enjoyed going to the lake.

Delores was preceded in death by her father Tom on Dec. 31, 1977; her mother Annie on May 26, 2008; son Darryl Jay "DJ" Jensen on July 2, 2008 and one sister, Brenda Kay (Briscoe) Gordon on Dec. 20, 2008.

She is survived by her husband Gene of the home; two daughters, Jamie Carroll of Velma and Kelley Helmert of Wilburton; two sons, Jeremy Jensen and Doug Jensen and wife Celeste, all of Velma; one brother, Tommy Briscoe and wife Donna of Velma; two sisters, Billie Battles of Pauls Valley and Louranna Cox and husband Ray of Ratliff City; 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and numerous relatives.

Casket Bearers are C.W. Jensen, Ryan Bench, Todd Dunn, Danny Briscoe, Michael Briscoe and Tommy Downey.

Honorary Bearers are Chris Battles, Kevin Dunn, Robbie Pierce and Doug Briscoe.

Family visitation will be 6 to 8 pm Monday evening at the funeral home in Ratliff City.
