Deral Claud Poteet

Healdton - Deral Claud Poteet, 71 of Healdton departed from this life on Friday, December 31, 2021 in Oklahoma City, OK. He was born May 17, 1950 in Wilson, OK to the late Mr. Raymond Conyers "R.C." Poteet and Mrs. Nannie F. (Ledgerwood) Poteet.

Deral was raised in Dundee graduating from Healdton High School in 1968. He married Ms. Vicki Leigh Riley in Ardmore, OK on April 27, 1970 and they were blessed with 4 children, DaraLee, Cynthia, Paul and Stephen. Deral worked in the oilfield for 50 years, the majority of the time for Gulf/Chevron as a pumper and for Sonner Electric as an electrician. He enjoyed fishing, tinkering and fixing things, and spending time with his grandchildren. Deral was an exceptional hard worker and was known for his generosity. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Healdton.

He was Preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Donna Poteet and Darla Hughes; and a twin brother, David Poteet.

Deral is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Vicki of the home; children, DaraLee Poteet of Healdton, Cynthia Thomsen of Healdton, Paul Poteet and wife Lindsey of Mustang, and Stephen Poteet and wife Stacie of Ratliff City; siblings, Jan Poteet of Healdton, Champ Poteet and wife Debra of Waurika, Robin Terraitepo of Bora Bora, Valerie Poteet of Healdton and Lea Poteet of Healdton; grandchildren, Rhyleigh, Rylan, Meisan, Graythan, Taryn, Torri, and Peyton; and by a host of other family and friends.

Memorial Inurnment Services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M., Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Mount Olive Cemetery with Juan Williams officiating.
