Diana Sue Gaston

Ringling- Funeral Services for Mrs. Diana Sue Gaston, 56, of Ringling are scheduled for 2:00 PM Monday October 15, 2012 at the Ringling Memorial Cemetery Pavilion with Rev. Chad Barron officiating. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Ringling.

Diana was born was born May 21, 1956 at Ringling. She departed this life Friday October 12, 2012 at Ardmore.

Diana was a native to Ringling residing here most of her life. She attended school at Ringling and later attended Beauty school. She was employed at the Ringling Nutrition Center for 18 years where she retired from as the Manager. She and Mr. Donald Gaston were united in marriage on September 15, 2003 at Gainesville, TX.

Diana was a very accomplished Artist and Poet. She created some of the most beautiful paintings and crafts and also a had some of her poems published. She loved to aggravate and always had a heart of gold. She adored her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Community Fellowship Assembly of God of Ringling.

Preceding her in Death are her Grandparents, Annie and Ernest Choate; Father, Nathan Ray Powell, and Mother Joy Sue (Choate) Tanner; Sister- Glena Powell, April 29, 1975; Granddaughter, Laura Simmons and special friend, Lynn Stevens.

Survivors include her Husband Donald Gaston of the home in Ringling; Son, Jamie Whitener and wife Mary of Ringling; Daughter, Stormie Thornburg of Zaneis; Sister, Sandi Baker of Healdton; Brother, Billy Powell and Tammy Mitchell of Healdton; Grandchildren, Tye Simmons, Dustin Whitener, Noah Bartley, Liam York, and Christopher York; Special friend who was like a sister, Janita Black of Ringling; Numerous other family and friends.

Pallbearers are Billy Joe Dewbre, Josey Powell, Darin Powell, John Fields, Mike Gaston, Jim Branch, Jonathan Swan, Michael Morris and Johnny Dewbre.

Honorary Bearers are Tye Simmons, Lance Roberts, Dawson Morris Wright, Noah Bartley, Christopher York, Dustin Whitener, Cole White, Cash Higgens, and Liam York.

Family visitation will be from 2-4 pm Sunday afternoon at Alexander Funeral Home of Ringling.
