Healdton - Mr. Donald "Don" Francis Baumgartner, 71 of Healdton was born June 12, 1949 in Zion, Illinois to the late Mr. Frank Baumgartner and Mrs. Eldora (Braaten) Baumgartner. He departed from this life on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at his home in Healdton. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Crematory.
Don was raised mostly in Zion, Illinois as a child eventually moving to Kenosha, Wisconsin where he spent the majority of his life. Don drove a forklift working in the North America Salt Factory for 38 years. He retired in 2008 moving to Healdton. Don married the former Mary Linda Staples on July 2, 1999 in Wisconsin. He loved hunting, fishing and was an avid shooter. Don collected many coins and enjoyed medal detecting and being outside. He was excellent in the art of Tae KwanDo. Don was saved and baptized at the Bethel Baptist Church of Healdton.
Preceding him in death were his parents; son, Able Baumgartner; step son, Barney Staples; and a step granddaughter, Emma Staples.
Don is survived by his wife; sisters, Cathy Falcon of Claremore, OK and Janet Tredway of Lakeland, FL; daughters, Joyce Faulkner (Baumgartner) and husband Lou of Camden, TN and Jeanine Baumgartner of Healdton; step sons, Mark Ward and Jerico Staples; grandchildren, Tabrea Faulkner, Brooklyn Jones, Julian Jones, Sabria Baumgartner, and Emily Baker; step grandchildren, Evan, Elleauna, Ember, Elder, Brianna, Jordan, Jeacotah, Rebel, and Ryott; great grandchild Trooper Denney; and by a host of other family and friends.
