Donna Lee (Kennedy) Almond

Donna Lee (Kennedy) Almond of Ardmore departed this life on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Mercy Memorial Hospital of Ardmore. Memorial services will be announced at a later date. Cremation services are under the direction and care of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Wilson.

Donna was born to the late Mr. Carlile Creede Kennedy and Mrs. Agnus (Mahon) Kennedy on August 24, 1937 in Guymon, OK.

Donna grew up in Guymon and attended school there. She married J.D. Almond and followed him many places with work until moving to Ardmore in 1976 and has resided here for the past 45 years. Donna enjoyed cooking, canning, watching T.V., and spending time with her family. Donna was a homemaker most of her life until J.D. passed away and she went to work at Hallmark and worked there for several years. Donna was of the Baptist faith.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents; husband, J.D. Almond; daughters, Debbie Hamilton and Janet Almond; sister, Carlene Wilcox; and brother, Bobby Kennedy.

Donna is survived by her children, Gary Almond and wife Keyla of Ardmore, Tina Lynn Almond of Dallas, TX, and Rex Almond and wife Tessa of Lone Grove; grandchildren, Amanda, Jimmy, Amber, Justin, Darren, Joshua, and Cody; brother, Jimmy Kennedy of Atlanta, GA; several great granchildren; many other relatives and a host of friends.
