Lone Grove- Immediate burial services for Doris Jean “Cook” Shelley 77, of Lone Grove will be Monday, August 17, 2020 at Keller Cemetery at Wilson. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson.

Doris Jean “Cook” Shelley, departed this life Saturday, August 15, 2020. Doris was born on December 8, 1942 at Corpus Christi, TX to the late Mr. Floyd Cook and Mrs. Merle “Taylor” Cook. She departed this life on Saturday August 15, 2020 at her home north of Lone Grove.

Doris grew up in Corpus Christi, TX. She married Mr. Jerry Pat Shelley on December 20, 1960 at Dallas, TX. The couple moved to Oklahoma due to his employment with Beetle Plastics. Doris worked as a cook at Bowl A Rama, Bowling Alley in Lone Grove for many years. She loved spending time with the all her grandbabies and great grandbabies.

Preceding her in death is her husband, Jerry Shelley on November 3, 2004 and her sons, Gerald Keith in 1975 and Jerry Patrick “Pat” Shelley 2019; sister, Ava Shelton.

Survivors include her son, Marshall Shelley of Lone Grove; daughter-in-law, Roxie Shelley of Springer; siblings, Ray Cook of San Antonio, TX, Marjorie Coslett and husband Jim of Corsicana, TX, Robert Cook of Sanger, TX; grandchildren, Bobby Shelley and wife Heather of Springer, Steven Shelley and wife Peachez of Ardmore, Charlie Shelley of Springer, Marshall Shelley and wife Angel of Healdton, Hayley Shelley of Lone Grove, and Jade Herren of Lone Grove; 10 great grandchildren; numerous other family and friends.
