Doris L. Baker Cutberth

August 18, 1934 — January 17, 2022

Wilson - Funeral services for Mrs. Doris L. (Brooks) Baker Cutberth, 87, of Ardmore are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday, Jan. 21, 2022, at Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Wilson with her grandsons, Rev. Brad Baker and Bill Baker officiating. Interment will follow at the Lone Grove West Memorial Cemetery.

Doris was born on August 18, 1934, at Lamesa, TX to the late Mr. Walter Melvin Brooks and Mrs. Ruby Virginia (Gardner) Brooks. She went to her heavenly home on Monday, January 17, 2022, at her home in Ardmore.

Doris was raised primarily in California moving to Lone Grove in the late 60's. She married Harold Lee Baker, and to this union they were blessed with two boys, Dennis and Randy. Doris' family locally owned and operated the 70's Cafe' of Ringling, the Longhorn Cafe' of Lone Grove and the Green Hut Cafe' at the Healdton Wilson Y.

Later in life Doris would marry Kenneth Cutberth on July 27, 2001, after courting for 19 years. He preceded her in death on June 2, 2015. Doris was a great seamstress and was employed at Ardmore Cleaners for a long period of time until her retirement. Doris enjoyed many trips to Branson, MO where she loved to go trout fishing. She will be remembered for being a very hard worker, who always enjoyed staying busy. She was a very devout mother and grandmother who loved her children and grandchildren immensely.

In addition to her husband, also preceding her in death are her parents; daughter, Janie Case; son, Randy Baker and his wife Helen (Van Buskirk) Baker; sisters, Helen Ward and Trucilla "Mickey" Adams; brothers, Doug and Frank Brooks and most recently a great grandson, Jaetyn Cameron.

Survivors include her beloved son Dennis Lee Baker and Gail Brown of Lone Grove; stepdaughters, Jan Brink and Jill Aikins, both of Norman; grandchildren, Gregg, Geoff and Katie, Brian Deanna and Myka, Bill, Brad, Brady, Jerry, Jamie and Jadyn; 15 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Pat Brooks of Lone Grove; numerous other family and friends.

Casket bearers are Brian Baker, Tristan Baker, Brady Baker, Jeremy Roy, Brandon Lefler and Llew Brooks.

Honorary bearers are Roy Ward, Gerald Ward and David Baker.

A special thanks to Cross Timbers Hospice for their kind felt care and support.

Family visitation will be held from 6 to 8pm Thursday evening at Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Wilson.
