Earl Dee Skelton

Ringling – Memorial Services for Mr. Earl Dee Skelton, Sr. 74, of Healdton are scheduled for 10:00 AM Monday, February 18, 2013 at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel of Ringling with Juan Williams officiating. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Crematory of Ringling.

Mr. Earl Dee Skelton, Sr. was born March 28, 1938 at Healdton, OK to the late Mr. John Dee Skelton and Mrs. Florence Nina (Bowman) Skelton. He departed from this life Wednesday February 13, 2013 at his home north of Healdton.

Earl was raised in Dundee attending school there, graduating from Dundee High in 1956. He attended college at Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant for two years before returning back to Healdton where he obtained employment as the produce manager at Pratt’s Grocery of Healdton. Earl moved to Sandy Oregon in 1970. He was employed there as a produce manager for Tradewells. He and the former Ms. Janice Robinson were united marriage in 1976 at Sandy, Oregon. They moved back to Healdton in 1978 where Earl worked as a produce manager for David’s Grocery of Healdton until his retirement in 2000. Earl enjoyed watching OU and Dallas Cowboy football and loved baseball and also enjoyed fishing.

He is preceded in death by his Parents, John Dee and Florence Nina (Bowman) Skelton; Son, Jonathan David Skelton- 1968 and daughter in law, Sherry Renee Skelton.

Survivors include his wife Janice Marie (Robinson) Skelton of the home; Daughter, Nina Downey and husband Alan of Marlow; Son, Earl Dee Skelton, Jr. of Healdton; 8 Stepchildren; Sisters, Joy Wright and husband Charlie of Ratliff City, Carolyn J. Moore of Seminole, and Lois Ann Skelton of Healdton; Brothers, Larry Ladon Skelton and wife Betty of Elk City and Joe Skelton and wife Mary of Healdton. Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and other family.
