Evelyn G. Brock

Healdton - Funeral services for Mrs. Evelyn G. (Mefford) Brock, 90, of  Healdton are scheduled for 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Healdton with Dr. Robert L. Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Olive Cemetery of Healdton. 

Mrs. Brock was born on July 9, 1930 at Seminole to the late Mr. Odas H. Mefford and Mrs. Audie Mae (Lyman) Mefford. She went to her heavenly home Friday,  May 21, 2021 at Healdton. 

Mrs. Brock was primarily raised in Fox where she attended school and continued to reside. She met and married Richard Murray in 1945 and from this union, she was blessed with five children. Evelyn was an exceptional mother who worked hard to meet her family's needs raising them in Healdton. She was employed for years at Ben Franklin as a retail clerk, before gaining employment at Woolworth's of Ardmore and later at Andy's Easy Stop. 

Evelyn met and later married Mr. George Arley Brock on July 31, 1974 at Gainesville, TX. They enjoyed many happy years together, until his passing on Sept 12, 2009. Evelyn always loved working with flowers and enjoyed taking care of her animals. She was a member of the Loco Baptist Church. 
In addition to her husband, also preceding her was parents; grandson, Michael Murray; and great great grandson, Brody Archer; sisters, Neoma Ballard, Delphia Nunley, Dora Doss and Norma Newman; brothers, Art, Bill, Pat, Jack and Don Mefford. 

Survivors include her five beloved children, Gary Murray and wife Ramona of Shawnee, Carolyn DeLano and husband Johnny, Shirley Lewis  and husband John, all of Lone Grove, Allen Murray and wife Danna and Sue Anderson, all of Healdton; brother, Jim Mefford of Gainesville, TX; grandchildren, Keith Murray, Brenda Murray, Misti McAlister, Carrie DeLano, Tracie Caldwell, Rebecca Eddy, Steven Murray, Danny Murray, Lisa Sanders, Wesley Dill, Monica Keifer and Mandy Dethloff; 27 great grandchildren,7 great great grandchildren and numerous other family and friends. 

Casket Bearers  are Bryce Murray, Blane Murray, Buster Murray, Nick Owen, Danny Archer and Nathan Dethloff. 

Honorary bearers are all grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. 

Family visitation will be 6pm to 8 pm Monday evening at the funeral home at Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Healdton.
