Evelyn Joyce Kennedy

Wilson - Graveside Services for Mrs. Evelyn Joyce (Frizzell) Kennedy, 81 are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at Hewitt Cemetery Pavilion with Bill Baker officiating and Timothy Gonzales assisting.  Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson. 

Evelyn was born on January 12, 1943 in Sasakwa, OK to the late Mr. Ernest Orville Frizzell and Mrs. Ruth Augusta (Jones) Frizzell.  She departed from this life on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 in Sherman, OK. 

Evelyn was raised in Sasakwa, OK and attended school there.  She married Jim Bob Kennedy on April 13, 1978 at Provence, OK and to this union they were blessed with 1 son, Brian Lynn.  Evelyn was a devoted homemaker who enjoyed puzzles, reading her Bible, watching Full House, and playing with her grandchildren. 

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Jim Bob on January 28, 2004; son, Jimmy; 1 brother, and 5 sisters. 

Evelyn is survived by her son, Brian Lynn Kennedy and his wife Joni of Healdton; sisters, Linda Sue Thomas of Oklahoma City, and Betty Jean of Texas; brother, Jackie Don Frizzell and wife Barbara of Cox City; 5 grandchildren, James Gibbs, Dakota Gibbs and wife Shelby, Stetson Gibbs, Cheyenne Kennedy, and Bobby Tre Kennedy; 7 great grandchildren; children, Ronda Williams of Oklahoma City, Sheila Harmon of Claremore, and Kathryn Broadhead of Kiefer; and by a host of other family and friends. 

Viewing hours are Monday from 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. at Wilson. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the funeral home on behalf of the family in honor of Evelyn.
