Finis Huel Price

Lone Grove - Home Going Services for Mr. Finis Huel Price, 89, lifetime resident of Lone Grove is scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday Jan. 19, 2024, at the New Hope Freewill Baptist Church of Lone Grove with Rev. David Gardner officiating. Interment will follow at the Lone Grove West Memorial Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Wilson.

Finis was born Sept. 28, 1934, at Lone Grove to the late Mr. Robert Thomas Price, Jr. and Mrs. Glenna (Gaither) Price. He departed from this life on Monday, Jan. 15, 2024, at his home in Lone Grove.

Finis was native to Lone Grove where he attended school and graduated with the class of 1954. Soon after, Finis married the love of his life, the former Ms. Barbara Ann Holder. They were united in marriage on August 25, 1954, at Gainesville, TX. He and Barbara made their home at Lone Grove where they still continue to reside. Finis originally was working for Joe Fisher and within the Oilfield before gaining employment with the Oklahoma Dept. of Transportation. There he would be employed from 1957 to 1985, retiring as part of the highway engineering department.

Finis was forever a farmer and cattleman. He respected the land and took pleasure in his cows. Most of his free moments were always spent in the pasture as a caretaker of his cattle and land. He never missed an opportunity to watch his grandkids play sports of many sorts or attend their events. He loved all of them very much. He was a man who was well respected and liked by everybody and by no means said an ill word regarding anyone. Finis was a member of the New Hope Freewill Baptist Church of Lone Grove.

Preceding him in death were his parents; stepmother, - Ethel Price and a brother, Jerry Price.

Survivors include his loving wife Barbara of the home; son, Billy Price and wife Debbie, and their children, Christie Daube and husband Lee, Kim Payne and husband Shaun, Courtney Norman and husband Dakota; son, Jacky Price and wife Tammy and their children, Brett Price and wife Kinzie, Jerrick Price and Braden Price; great grandchildren, Price and Paige Daube, Rylee and Gage Norman, Trey Kate and Cooper Price, Parker, Nick and Noah Payne; brother, Bill Price and family; sister in law, Carlene Rindfleich and family;  numerous nieces, nephews and other family.

Casket bearers will be Lee Daube, Dakota Norman, Price Daube, Brett Price , Trey Price, Cooper Price, Jerrick Price, Braden Price, Gage Norman and Ron Bonner.

A very special thank you to Dr. Stephen Treadwell and staff and the Ideal Home Health Care for all their dedicated care and support given to Finis.

Family visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Thursday evening at Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Wilson.
