Wilson - Graveside Services for Mrs Fonnie Maxine Walker, 86 of Wilson are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Monday, October 4, 2021 at Hewitt Cemetery with Rev. Mark Fuller officiating. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson.

Fonnie was born September 22, 1935 in Pike, OK to the late Ervin Thomas Reeves and Mrs. Pearl Omanda (Harper) Reeves. She departed from this life on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 in Tulsa, OK.

Fonnie was raised in Pike attending school there finishing out her school years in Gainesville, TX. She married Mr. Donald D. Thompson and they were blessed with 5 children and later she married Mr. Melvin Walker on April 2, 1978 at their home in Wilson. He preceded her in death on October 26, 2004. Fonnie worked within the school system in Gainesville and Denton but most of her life she was a devoted homemaker. She enjoyed camping and going to the lake being known as having an adventurous spirit. Fonnie loved sitting in her picture window, going to all the local coffee shop stops and she really enjoyed watching her birds, Bobbie and Lucy.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, Melvin; daughter, Fonoma Powell on November 14, 2016; son, Arnold Cornelius; granddaughter, Crystal Renae Thompson on November 3, 2003; and siblings Buster Burnett and Clifford Burnett.

Fonnie is survived by daughters, Linda Williams and husband Lee of Wilson and Stacey Erm of Edgewood, NM; son, Gerald Don Thompson of Ardmore; grandchildren, Michael Thompson, Aaron Gray, Nathan Gray, Samuel Edwards, Cassandra Bengfort, Brandon Bengfort and Randy Thompson; great grandchildren, Krystal, Tyler, Dillon, Shelby, Micah, Mayzee, Kayden, Evie, Brandon, Jr., Andy, Destiny, and Joseph; special friends, the late Billie Haynes, Janice Adams, and Pam Laney; and by a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 2-4 P.M. at Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson.
