Gary Dale Joy

Cheek – Cremation Services for Mr. Gary Dale Joy, 72, of Cheek are scheduled with Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Wilson. He departed this life Saturday, March 30, 2024 at a nursing home in Ardmore.

Gary was born on April 12, 1951 at Ardmore to the late Mr. Emzie Joy and Mrs. Ruth (Richardson) Joy. He was raised at Cheek attending school at Lone Grove. He worked as a truck driver for Overland Construction and most years for Aero Transport out of Tulsa. Gary enjoyed farming and raising cattle and was a member of the Cheek Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death are his parents; brother, Bruce Joy and sister Betty Joy.

Survivors include a nephew, James Gillaspy and wife Leslie of Lone Grove; numerous other family and friends.
