Gladys Lou (Cargile) Sessums

Loco - Gladys Lou (Cargile) Sessums, departed this life at her residence on Saturday, February 25, 2023 in Loco at the age of 57 years, 5 months, and 25 days. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00P.M. Monday, March 6, 2023 at Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Ringling with Bro. Joe Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in the Dixie Cemetery. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Ringling.

Gladys was born on August 31, 1965 in Ringling, OK to  Mr Warren Cargile and Mrs. Gladys (Lee) Cargile. 

She was raised in Ringling and attended school there. After school, Gladys  moved to Shawnee where she would start her family and had two children April and Koty, and then later met Roy Sessums and had her daughter Melissa. Gladys and Roy have been together for over 30 years. They married on July 11, 2008 in Pauls Valley. Together they made their home in Ringling and Loco. Gladys loved her children and grandchildren. She always enjoyed fishing, swimming, music, watching her favorite soap operas as she was doing housework and enjoyed drinking a cold beer.  Gladys worked as a CNA for many years and enjoyed taking care of people. Tinker or "Tink" "Tink" was her favorite canine companion. 

Gladys is preceded in death by her son, Koty Higgins on April 23, 2014; father, Warren Cargile; sisters, Shirley, Pat and Joe.

She is survived by her husband of the home, Roy Sessums; daughters, April Higgins and Corey Stricklin of Duncan, Melissa Sessums of Velma; grandaughters, Jacobi, Madisyn, and Meillie; grandsons, Jedidiah and Corey; mother, Gladys Cargile of Ringling; brother, Charlie Cargile and wife Jodie of Ringling; mother in law, Elizabeth Sessums of Duncan; Many other relatives and a host of friends.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Corey Stricklin, Rusty Williams, Zackary Palmer, Ashton Palmer, Mike Brown and Dylan Cargile.

Honorary Pallbearer will be Delbert Sessums.

Visitation is scheduled Sunday, March 5, 2023 4-6:00P.M. at Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Ringling.
