Wilson- Funeral Services for Glenda Elaine Blackburn, 53, of Wilson are scheduled for 3:00 PM Saturday, December 20, 2014 at the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel of Wilson with Bro. Felix Hernandez officiating. Interment will follow at the Hewitt Cemetery. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.

Glenda Elaine Blackburn was born January 12, 1961 at Wilson to Mr. Dwain Benson Blackburn and Mrs. Patsy Ruth (Hendrix) Blackburn. She passed from this life Monday, December 15, 2014 at Ardmore, OK.

Elaine was raised in Wilson graduating from Wilson High School in 1979. She attended South Eastern Oklahoma State University and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. Elaine worked at Zaneis School and for Big 5 and various other places. She worked as a dispatcher and clerk for the City of Healdton and Wilson and it was for that career that she was well known.

Elaine attended the First Baptist Church of Wilson when her health would allow.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Guy Harvey.

Elaine is survived by her Son, Daniel Dylan Harvey and Summer Rene’ O’Daniel of Wilson; Parents, Dwain and Patsy Blackburn of Wilson; Brother, David Blackburn and wife, Pam of Wilson; Grandson, Daniel Paul Harvey; Niece, Kara Hicks and husband, Jeff; Nephew, Chris Blackburn; Great Niece, Lexis; Great Nephew, Christopher; Special Friends, Rosie Skelton and Amanda Ridenour; Numerous other Family and Friends.

Pallbearers are Nathan Sanders, Jammy Shaw, Kyle Hacker, Albert O'Daniel, Jericho Whatley and Travis Powell.

Honorary Bearers are Gilbert Hacker, Charlie Richards, David Blackburn and Chris Blackburn.

Visitation will be held Friday evening from 6- 8 PM at Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.
