Haskell Van Buskirk, Jr.

June 9, 1954 — May 21, 2024

Wilson - Mr. Haskell Van Buskirk, Jr., 69 of Countyline, was born June 9, 1954 in Ardmore, OK to the late Mr. Haskell A. Van Buskirk and Mrs. Dosha D. (Jones) Van Buskirk.  He departed from this life on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 in Countyline, OK.  A time to gather and visit will be held Sunday evening from 5-7 P.M. at Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson.  


Haskell was raised in Lone Grove attending and graduating from Lone Grove High School in 1972.  Shortly after high school, he started working for Uniroyal/Michelin working for them for 22 years.  Haskell married Deanna Miller on October 19, 1973 and together they were blessed with 3 daughters, Kristi, Lisa, and Lindsay.   He then owned and operated Hack's Welding Service in the early 80's until the 90's which he was an expert welder.  Haskell was an avid hunter and still holds the record for the largest buck ever shot on the Daube Ranch, enjoyed riding motorcycles with Jack Glazener, and enjoyed his fishing trips around the 4th of July with Clifford Adams and Gene Ashley.   Haskell really looked forward to his daily trips to Marty's to visit with his friends. 


He was preceded in death by his parents, and parents in law, Margine Miller and Jerrel Miller. 


Haskell is survived by his daughters, Kristi Sachs and husband Kyle of South Carolina, Lisa Van Buskirk of Lone Grove, and Lindsay Van Buskirk and fiancé Josh Dorsey of Lone Grove; sister, Mary Lou Glazener and husband Jack of Ardmore; grandchildren, Keira and Jagger Sachs, and Kynsli Van Buskirk; nephews, Zach Glazener, Jake Glazener, Luke Glazener and husband Phillip Foster; and by a host of other family and friends.
