Hazel Lou Mckee

Oil City - Graveside Service for Mrs. Hazel Lou McKee, 90 of Oil City are scheduled for 3:00 P.M., Thursday, April 18, 2024 at Oil Springs Cemetery with Ronald Mefford officiating.  Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson, OK. 

Hazel was born June 14, 1933 in Chattanooga, OK to the late Mr. Rex Pender and Mrs. Opal J. (Wylie) Pender.  She departed from this life on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 in Wilson, OK.  

Hazel married Kenneth Gene McKee on May 13, 1955 while working for Johnson Drug Store in Healdton.  Together they made their home in Oil City in 1958.  Hazel was a devoted homemaker who enjoyed gardening and garage sales.  She always taught her kids manners and work ethic, making sure family was always important.   She would always say "You gain strength from your family".  

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Kenneth on August 16, 2018; sister, Maxine; infant brother, Bobby Ray; and brother Roy. 

Hazel is survived by her son, Mike McKee and wife Lisa of Oil City; daughter, Brenda Davis of Beaumont, TX; grandsons, Joe McKee of Oil City and Dustin Davis of Vidor, TX; and by a host of other family and friends.
