Homer Nelson Smith

Mr. Homer Nelson Smith was born April 16, 1939 in Fox to the late A.D. and Bonnie (Witcher) Smith. He departed this life Saturday September 6, 2008 at Healdton, OK at the age of 69 years, 4 months and 20 days.

Homer was raised at Fox living on Convict Hill. He worked in the Oil Patch all of his working years, most recently being employed for Hamp Baker. He married the former Ms. Rebecca Brown at the Graham Assembly of God Church. She preceded him in death on May of 1993.

Homer was always a devoted father and friend, who cherished raising his 3 wonderful girls. He was a member of the Graham Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, also preceding him in death is his Parents, Sister Opal Sue Burns, 1996, 2 Brothers Floyd W. Smith and Mark Smith, and sisters in laws Robbie Smith and Lucille Smith, and nephews Jackie Sargent and Wade Smith.

Survivors include 3 daughters, Cassandra Smith of Ada, Gequita Smith and Bonnie Smith both of Graham. 3 Sisters, Voncile Graham and husband Noah of Oklahoma City, and Lois Sanders of Blossom, TX, and Marry Freeman and husband Ken of Thackerville. 2 Brothers, Earnest Smith of Aztec, New Mexico and Billy Smith of Florence, CO. A Special Nephew, Billy Floyd Burns of Healdton. Sister in Law, Wanda Smith of Ardmore. Numerous nieces and nephews and other family.
