Services for Irma Louise (Duck) Gaither, 80, of Ardmore, are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Saturday, June 24, 2023, at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson with Rev. Dewain Duck and Rev. Jim Duck officiating. Interment will follow at Newport Cemetery in Lone Grove.

Irma was born August 10, 1942, at Ardmore, to the late Mr. George Wilson Duck and Mrs. Alice Lucille (Jones) Duck. She went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at her home in Ardmore.

Irma was raised in Ardmore attending Plainview Schools. After graduation she went to work for a book factory in Oklahoma City where she worked for many years. Irma then married Mr. Jim McCarty and to this union they were blessed with a daughter and a son. She was a wonderful homemaker for many years but was also employed by Wal-Mart for a short time until she retired. Irma had great involvement in her church, even singing in the choir. She was a member of the River of Life Church. Irma loved to crochet, making cherishable’s for her children. She loved her family very much and enjoyed her time spent with all of them especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death are her parents, George and Alice Duck.

Survivors include her daughter, Cher Converse of Ardmore; Son, Lance McCarty of Ardmore; grandchildren, Nicole Muncrief and husband Kevin, Christopher Gilman and wife Sara, Jessica Knoerdel, Jaden Converse, and Logan Converse; great grandchildren, Kylie Muncrief, Kason White, Dax Muncrief, Jordyn Gilman, and Ariella Cleveland; brothers, Dewain Duck and wife Naomi and Jim Duck and wife Joletta all of Lone Grove; sister, Jeanette Bray and husband Jay of Ardmore; numerous other family and many friends.

Pallbearers will be Brian Bray, Steven McCleskey, Greg McClesky, Kason White, Chris Connel, and Logan Converse.

Family visitation will be held at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson from 6-8P.M. Friday evening.
