James Douglas Cole

Ringling - Graveside Inurnment Services for Mr. James "Doug" Douglas Cole, 75 are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Ringling Memorial Cemetery with Joe Wilkerson officiating. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson.

Doug was born February 27, 1946 in Ardmore, OK to the late Mr. George Leonard Cole, Sr. and Goldie May (Williamson) Cole. He departed from this life on Monday, October 25, 2021 at his home.

Doug was raised in Mountain Home, graduating from Ringling High School in 1965. He started working in the oilfield before he married the love of his life, Ms. Marsha Diane Wright on May 23, 1967 in Ardmore, OK. They were blessed with 3 boys, Michael Douglas, Robby and Rodney. Doug worked for Stromberg Carlson for 20 years and later for Nielson Construction. He enjoyed coon hunting, bird hunting, dog shows, old Westerns and loved football.

Preceding him in death were his parents and an infant son, Michael Douglas.

Doug is survived by his loving wife, Marsha of the home; sons, Robby Cole and wife Christi of Ardmore and Rodney Cole of Lone Grove; brother, George Leonard Cole, Jr. of Burneyville; sisters, Karen Reed of Ringling and Peggy Langley and husband Glen of Ringling; grandchildren, Aaron Cole and Zachary Cole; great granddaughter, Mila Jayde Smith; and by a host of other family and friends.
