Jerry was born on August 5th, 1949 to the late Mr. Robert Earl Wyche and Mrs. Mary Francis (Love) Wyche. He departed this life on Wednesday, August 25th, 2021 at Alliance Hospital in Durant, OK.

Jerry was raised in Ringling, OK and spent his childhood helping his father, brother, and sister run the local chicken farm. Jerry graduated from Ringling High School in 1967 and then attended vocational school in Okmulgee, OK where he received training in Auto Mechanics. Jerry continued his education at Southeastern Oklahoma State University and where he received a bachelors degree.

Jerry was united in marriage to Diane Wyche on May 8th, 1978 in Gainesville, TX. Diane was the love of his life. At this time, Jerry owned and operated Wyche’s Auto Repair in Ringling. Jerry always wanted to work in the oil and gas industry and after a short time in construction, Jerry eventually went on to work for Citation Oil and Gas and as a work over foreman before retiring in 2018.

Jerry enjoyed fishing with his grandkids, spending time with his church family and baking for anyone in need of his famous chocolate chip cookies. He also enjoyed teaching his grandkids to make his famous chocolate chip pancakes and how to shoot guns. Jerry was passionate about his love for his wife, his family, and especially his love for Jesus. Jerry loved encouraging others with God’s Word and always greeted everyone with a smile. He loved to tell Dad jokes and enjoyed telling the same stories over and over again until the family all hurt from laughing. Anyone who knew Jerry loved him, and although we miss him dearly, we know he is dancing in heaven with Jesus right now.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Robert Earl and Mary Wyche and his best friend and cousin, Randy Love.

Survivors include his loving wife, Diane of the home; daughters, Mindy Joss and husband Archie of Freeport, TX; Cindy Nesmith and husband Darren of Lake Jackson, TX and Brandie Riggs and Husband Jase of Ardmore; Grandchildren, Hope, Hannah, Mason, Sophia, Nora, and Emma.
