Jessie Carl Hammond

Ringling - Funeral Services for Mr. Jessie Carl Hammond, 84 of Dallas are scheduled for 1:00 P.M., Friday, November 11, 2022 at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Ringling.  Navy Military Honor will follow at the Dixie Cemetery north of Ringling.  

Jessie was born on December 13, 1937 in Dixie, OK to the late Mrs. Vinia Gertrude (Martin) Cluff and Mr. Carl Brinkley Hammond.  He departed from this life at his home on Monday, November 7, 2022 in Dallas, TX.  

Jessie joined the United States Navy on December 30, 1954 at Dallas, TX.  He served on the USS St. Clair County honorably until his discharged-on December 12, 1958.  He then returned to the Dallas area and worked within sales most of his working years.  Jessie's favorite hobby was playing cards and was a great father to his children.  He loved watching sports and playing pool.  

Preceding him in death were his mother, Getrude Cluff; father, Carl Hammond; and a brother, Wallace Cluff. 

Jessie is survived by his daughter, Cindy Kvaal and husband Rick of Sherman, TX; son, David Hammond and wife Sandy of Comanche; sister, Velma McClurg of Denton, TX; grandchildren, Lacy Dupler and husband Barett; Travis Kvaal and wife Yolanda, Jake Hammond, Jon Hammond, and Joe Hammond; great grandchildren, Gavin Dupler, Dax Kvaal, Kirstyn Dupler, and Ricky Kvaal; and numerous other family and friends. 

Pallbearers will be family. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local food bank.
