Jimmy Dale Welch

Jimmy Dale Welch, of Healdton, departed this life on September 6, 2021 at Mercy Hospital of Healdton at the age of 68 years, 2 months, and 7 days. Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Healdton with Bro. Scott Renfro officiating. Cremation services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home of Healdton.

Jimmy was born on June 30, 1953 to the late Mr. Arthur Clyde Welch and Mrs. Clara Joe (Emmons) Welch in Duncan, OK.

Jimmy had lived most of his life in Southern Oklahoma graduating from Fox High School. He was a custodian for Healdton High School for twelve years. Mr. Welch made his home in Healdton for many years. He was very proud of his faith in Jesus Christ and overcoming addiction thru this faith in a higher power. Jimmy loved people and was always willing to help anyone in need. He enjoyed watching wrestling, crossword puzzles, rock collecting, camping and especially fishing. Mr. Welch loved his country and was a very patriotic man, he loved the red white and blue. Fireworks were always a favorite of his. He said some of his favorite memories was crawfishing and riding on the back of ole Betsy an old Hereford cow on the farm. He also said some of his favorite places was church, Grasshopper Junction, and fishing in the North Pond at Healdton Lake.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Nancy, Vicki, and Linda; brothers, Bobbie and Eddie.

He is survived by his son, Jimmy R. Welch and wife Nancy of Duncan; daughter, Amy D. Welch and spouse Derek Berthelot of Duncan; Brother, Denny Welch of Healdton; sister, Brenda Welch of Arkansas; grandchildren, Emily Harbill, Michael Welch, Harlynn Welch, and Gavin Welch; many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
