Jimmy Lester Glenn

Wilson - Funeral Services for Mr. Jimmy Lester Glenn, 73 of Wilson are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson with Sister Ellen Abshire officiating.  Interment will follow at Hewitt Cemetery. 


Jimmy was born July 13, 1950 in Wilson, OK to the late Mr. Jack B. Glenn and Elsie A. (Owens) Glenn.  He departed from this life on Saturday, January 20, 2024 in Healdton, OK.  


Jimmy was a longtime resident of Wilson where he was raised and attended school.  He married the love of his life, Pearline Lamascus on January 5, 1970 in Wilson, OK where they resided together all their life.  Together, they were blessed with one daughter, Angela.  Jimmy had worked as a heavy equipment operator for Davis Corporation in Healdton for 43 years until his retirement.  He enjoyed restoring old cars, and mechanic work which he was very good at.   He loved spending time with his grandkids and his great great niece Tayter Tot (Embree). and he also enjoyed riding in the convertible, playing slot machines and loved his cats.  


Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Pearline in 2009; and his brothers, John, Jacky, Ray, and Tom Glenn. 


Jimmy is survived by his daughter, Angela Simmons and husband Jason of Wilson; grandchildren, Kaylee Simmons and Kyle Simmons of Wilson; special friend and caretaker, Linda Blodgett; sister, Helen Ashley and husband Jerry; brother, Kenneth Glenn and wife Elaine.; special niece, Brenda Idleman AKA Bear; and by a host of other family and friends. 


Pallbearers will be Gary Don Sanders, Gus Ashley, Mark Idleman, Don Westbrook, Ty Seagroves, and Kyle Simmons. 

Honorary bearers will be his Jason Simmons, nephews, Sam Simmons, Bobby Dewbre, Joe Davis, Doug Davis, Donald Shepard, and Larry Bohannan. 


Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6-8 P.M. at Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson.
