Jimmy Paul Norton

Ringling– Celebration of Life for Mr. Jimmy Paul Norton, 69, of Ringling are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at the Alexander Funeral Home in Wilson, Oklahoma with Rev. Raymond Norton officiating. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home and Crematory of Wilson.

Jimmy was born May 19, 1943 to Mr. J.B. Norton and Mrs. Pauline Onetta (Hacker) Norton at Union City, Oklahoma and was the oldest of 9 children. He departed this life Sunday, September 16, 2012 at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Jimmy was raised in the Wilson and Lone Grove area most of his life. He graduated from Pernell High School in 1961. Jimmy began a career in truck driving which he started in the oil field and later cross country hauling freight. He was most recently employed with Lyndal Vanbuskirk Trucking. Jimmy married Elizabeth “Liz” Acox on January 15, 1998 at Healdton , Oklahoma . Together they made their home in Ringling. Jimmy enjoyed fishing and joyfully spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Preceding him in death are his parents J.B.Norton December 30, 1998 and Pauline Norton February 11, 1995; Brothers: Eddie Norton December 1, 1976 and Lonnie Norton March 12, 2012

Survivors include his wife Elizabeth Norton of the home; Three Sons: Jay Paul Norton and wife Cathy of Ardmore, Ok. , Terry Dewayne Norton of Wilson, Ok. and Billy Joe Norton of Lone Grove , Ok. ; Sisters: Millie Sweeten of Ardmore, Ok. , Carolyn Carter of Pauls Valley, Ok. and Gloria Gothard and husband Benny of Lone Grove , Ok. ; Brothers: Johnny Norton and wife Gwen of Wilson, Ok, Ricky Norton and wife Carolyn of Lone Grove, Ok. , Sam Norton and wife Stephanie of Plainview, Ok. ; 5 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild; Special sister-in –law: Angela Norton of Norman, Ok; Numerous nieces and nephews and loved ones.

Honorary Pallbearers are all of his nephews.
