Graham - Home Going Services for Mr. Jimmy "Jim" Wayne Watkins, 72, of Fox are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday, August 23, 2019 at the Graham Assembly of God Church with Rev. John Harris and Rev. JR Townley officiating. Interment services will follow at the Graham Cemetery. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Wilson.

Jim was born on July 19, 1947 at Graham to the late Mr. Thomas "Tom" Jefferson Watkins and Mrs. Minnie Ethel (Morrow) Watkins. He departed this life Monday August 19, 2019 at Fox.
Jim was raised in Graham where he attended school and graduated from high school. He married the former Ms. Diana Lewis on April 16, 1976 at Graham Assembly of God Church. They resided at Graham before moving to Electra, TX and eventually made their home in Fox. He and Diane recently celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary.

Jim worked most of his life as a pipeline controller for Exxon Mobil. He retired from them in 2006 and continued to stay active, collecting and selling tractors. He also enjoyed fishing, collecting knives and toy tractors. Jim was always a man of few words who loved spending time with his kids and grandkids and was always their number one fan.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Tom and Minnie Watkins ; sisters, Irene Watkins, Estelene Hand and Ann Hall and a brother Johnny Watkins.

Survivors include his wife Diana of the home; son, Bull Watkins and wife Kristi of Ardmore and grandchildren, Brayden Bales, Damon Bales and Jimmy "Trace" Wayne Watkins, III, Heather Pearson and husband Dusty of Healdton and great grandchildren, Brightyn and Dayton, granddaughter, Brooklyn Butler and husband Chad of Wilson and great grandchildren, Paislye Butler and Rayleigh Butler and one more on the way, Ryker Wayne who is due on October 17, 2019; daughter, Sandie Watkins of Fox and grandchildren, Kortnie Smith, Jake Smith and wife Raeda and great grandchildren, Kasen Smith, Kolt Smith and Jacie Smith; daughter, Krissie Fletcher and husband Derrell of Graham and grandchildren, Kaytlin Morrow and husband Garrett, Morgan Fletcher, Jayden Fletcher and great grandchildren Sawyer and Houston Morrow; daughter, Penny Watkins of Fox; brothers, Richard Watkins and wife Jeanette and George Watkins and wife Jane all of Fox; sisters, Geraldine McDaniel and husband Vernon of Albany, TX, Edna Turner and husband Bruce of Fox, Edna Rader of Henrietta, Evelyn Sue Dewbre and husband Bob and Nancy Savage and husband Larry, all of Graham; numerous other family and friends.

Casket Bearers are Chad Butler, Dusty Pearson, Damon Bales, Brayden Bales, Jayden Fletcher, Trace Watkins, Jake Smith and Garrett Morrow.

Family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm Thursday evening at the funeral home in Wilson.
