Wilson - Funeral Service for Mrs. Joan Louise Stanton, 73, of Ringling are scheduled for 10 am Monday at the Ringling Memorial Cemetery Pavilion with Bro. Ben Shirley officiating. Services are under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home in Ringling.

Mrs. Joan Louise (Parker) Stanton was born to the late Charles A. and Mary Thompson Parker on September 4, 1934 at Los Angeles , CA . She departed this life Thursday July 3, 2008 at Ardmore , OK .

Joan was reared in California , attending grade school at Uzura Union. She later moved to Holbrook , AZ when she was in the ninth grade and later graduated High school from there. Joan moved to Oklahoma City in 1963 and soon met and married Mr. Ronald Mitchell Stanton on January 4, 1965 at El Reno , OK . They many wonderful years together, living in Oklahoma City until 1984, when they moved to Ringling to be closer to their Family. Joan worked as a Dietician and cook for all of her working years as well as being a devoted housewife. She always had a deep love for all of her family. She adored all animals especially cats, and was a big fan of Elvis Presley. She also enjoyed going bowling with her friends and loved flowers. She was a member of the Zaneis Baptist Church .

Preceding her in death is her Parents, and her Mother-in-law Daisy Stanton.

Survivors include her loving husband, Mitch of Ringling, Brother in laws, Derl Stanton and wife Kay of Blanchard, and Donald Stanton of Wheatland, 2 Nieces, Carla Epperson of Oklahoma City , and Frieda Gayle Kemp also of Oklahoma City .
