Joel Cameron Bray

Wilson - Funeral Services for Mr. Joel Cameron Bray, 68 of Healdton are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Friday, December 14, 2018 at the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Johnston officiating. Interment will follow to Mount Olive Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home in Wilson.

Joel was born on March 11, 1950 in Ardmore to the late Mr. Joe "Cameron" Bray and Mrs. Frances "Frankie" Lorene Stevens. He departed from this life on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 in Ardmore.

Joel was raised in Healdton graduating high school in 1968. He then attended college at Southeastern Oklahoma State University where he obtained his Business Administration Degree. Joel went to work for Firestone in Ardmore for several years. Afterward, Bray Painting Company of Healdton and lastly at the Michelin Annex employed by WSI operating a forklift. He retired in March of 2016. Joel was a big OU fan, loved fishing with Champ and Debra Poteet at Waurika Lake and years ago, was an avid duck hunter. He was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church of Healdton.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Cameron Bray and Frankie Bray Montgomery.

Joel is survived by his sister, Charlene Brown and husband Gary of Wilson; brother, Danny Bray and wife Danell of Wilson; aunt, Wanda Garrett of Healdton and numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Dusty Bray, Michael Brown, Ivron McClendon, Dennis Burch, Randy Whitsett and Joe Tayar. Honorary bearer will be Champ Poteet.

A family visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6-7 P.M. at Alexander Funeral Home in Wilson.
