Johnnie Russell Murray

Healdton ~ Cremation services only are scheduled for Mr. Johnnie “John” Russell Murray, 71, of Zaneis. Arrangements are under the care of Alexander Gray Crematory.

John was born July 11, 1942 at Dexter, NM to the late Mr. Howard Russell and Mrs. Lorene (Smith) Murray. He departed this life June 16, 2014 at Ardmore.

John was raised primarily at Healdton. He joined the United States Army in 1959 and served as a radar technician. John attended college at Grayson where he received his qualification as T.V. Repairman. He married the former Mrs. Donna Pritchett on June 29, 1971 at Shafter, CA. They made their home in Healdton shortly after, and since 1992 have been residents of Zanies. John was employed for Gene Trail for many years working on pulling units. He also worked on T.V.’s and owned and operated a wrecking yard.

John was preceded in death by his parents Mr. Howard Russell and Mrs. Lorene (Smith) Murray. He was also preceded in death by a son Ewell Murray in 1989, Siblings Mildred Holiman, Lucille Murray, and Freddie Murray.

Survivors include his wife Donna Sue Murray of the home, son Howard Russell Murray and wife Brenda of Wilson, 3 Grandchildren, and 4 Great Grandchildren.
